What are wedding bands?
January 27th, 2012
Bands are a simple and straightforward form of rings and consist of a strip of precious or semi precious metal that is made into a circular ring by joining the ends together. A wedding band is a metal band (ring) signifying that the wearer is a married person. The wedding band is usually worn on the base of the left ring finger with the romantic notion of linking it directly to the heart since it was earlier believed (now proven to be false) that a vein from the fourth finger led directly to the heart.
